The R108 model offers a modern reimagining of the popular 3-panel door. Its traditional composition creates a sense of balance and rhythm, offering structure without ornament. Defined by its proportions, the R108 brings a quiet presence to both contemporary and heritage interiors; a door that’s designed to simply feel like home. All SWD doors can be personalised to suit your project, with a wide choice of natural wood veneers or painted finishes, complemented by matching architraves and skirting for a cohesive look. Every design can be further refined with bespoke beading, panel profiles, and optional glazing, allowing each piece to be integrated seamlessly into its surrounding decor.

Product Details

This door model is available with either Flat panels or Raised and Fielded panels, as a door leaf or pre hung door set. This door is available in any of our natural timber veneers or a painted finish, which can be either white primed for onsite decorating, stained to your desired finish or RAL lacquered finishes are available. SWD also offer a bespoke colour matching service in satin or high gloss.

The below beading and panel profiles includes a range of traditional and contemporary options to suit any interior style. The cross sections show how each beading profile looks on a flat panel or a raised panel. These beading types can be used for our Classic Collection and may also be used on glazed doors in any of our other Collections too. Glazing

All doors from SWD are made to order which enables us to offer a huge range of glazing options. Some of the more popular options are shown here. Most of the glazing options can also be produced as a fire rated door. The types of glass available are: Clear toughened (Non-fire) / Opaque (Non-fire) / Bevelled (Non-fire) / Fire rated clear (FD30/

FD60) / Fire rated sandblasted (FD30/FD60). Your glazed doors will need beading to hold the glass in place.

MDF & Solid Wood Architrave & Skirting

We can supply a huge variety of different architrave and skirting profiles, some of which are shown below. These can come in primed moisture resistant MDF or solid wood, for example walnut, oak, beech, tulip wood or Sapele. Plinth blocks and corner blocks are also available in various designs and sizes.

Veneered Architrave & Skirting

SWD can supply architrave and skirting profiles which can be veneered to match your doors and frames, resulting in a seamless and impressive look. The images below show some of the standard profiles available, however any of the profiles on the following page are also available as an architrave either in MDF or solid wood, or as skirting. Both skirting and architraves can be made in different widths and thicknesses.

Door Set Frame & Ironmongery

Door Set Frame

SWD’s standard door set frames are rebated and can be crafted from moisture-resistant MDF or solid wood. They are available in various finishes, including primed, veneered, or can be finished in a matte lacquer and high gloss. The rebated design eliminates the need for a plant-on stop—a more traditional method that has since been surpassed by this cleaner, more integrated approach. To enhance acoustic performance, we install black or white gaskets to suit the frame colour. For projects requiring fire-rated doors, our frames are additionally supplied pre-machined for intumescent material, ensuring compliance with certification standards. Our frames are custom-made to match your wall depth, with a maximum width of 175mm, depending on the finish. For walls exceeding this depth or where additional tolerance is needed, we provide a reveal board in the same finish as the frame, ensuring a seamless, cohesive appearance.

Door Set Ironmongery

Our door sets come fully equipped with architectural locks and latches, along with four hinges per door as standard. All hardware is precisely machined into both the door and frame at our factory using CNC machinery. Standard ironmongery is supplied with a smooth radius edge for a clean, seamless finish. However, if preferred, square-edged ironmongery can also be machined to suit your design preferences. We offer three primary lock types for our door sets: a latch for non-locking doors, a bathroom lock compatible with a handle and thumb turn, and a euro-profile sash lock designed for a handle and key-locking cylinder. Additionally, we can provide alternative ironmongery options, including deep-set latches and locks tailored for mortice knobs, as well as concealed hinges for a streamlined look.

Made to Measure

When purchasing new door sets, we can offer you a site survey which enables us to measure all of your openings and assess the exact requirements for a completely bespoke luxury service. Investing in a survey gives you absolute confidence that your doors are made to your exact specifications and eliminates scope for error and delay when installing. We also lend our experience and expertise to advise on solutions and options to meet any design requirements that you may desire.

If a site survey is not suitable, we can carry out a virtual site survey via video call or we can let you know the information we need and your builder can supply this instead.
